This is March, sports fans anxiously await

“March Madness,” a college tradition. Here at  Fairview, we will celebrate “March Gladness.”

I ran across a quote about March madness. It  reads “Sometimes a player’s greatest challenge is coming to grips with his role on the team.” (Scottie Pippen)

What is your role at Fairview? Are you an active  participant, ready to play? Are you exercising  your spiritual gifts, using them in the various areas of ministry at our church? Are  you sitting on the bench? Are you injured,needing healing from illness or discouragement?  Do you look to your coach, the Pastor  for leadership?  Another quote is “The invention of basketball was not an accident. It was developed to meet a need.” (James Naismith) Sunday school was started to meet a need, a need for Bible study and fellowship. It has been one of the greatest tools in churches through the years. This month, we will celebrate Sunday School and have a little friendly competition among our classes. Your class will earn points for attendance, reaching out to inactive members, and especially inviting new guests to come and visit your class. How can you help your class, your team? #1— Be in class each Sunday in March. #2- Encourage all the members of your class to be there as well #3-Invite unchurched or out of church friends and family to try out Sunday School and worship during March Gladness. I also want to thank our renovation and Building committees for all their hard work during our renovation. The work is progressing on schedule. Thank you to everyone for their cooperation and flexibility as we meet in the Fellowship Hall.. With excitement about what God is doing at Fairview
